Teaching:
Mr. Sullivan is a member of both the Virginia and Illinois bar and he is authorized to practice in federal and state court in Virginia and Illinois. He has conducted legal training seminars, taught paralegal courses and has guest lectured at Virginia Tech. He will be teaching the Legal Environment of Business course designed for business majors in the Fall.
Business Experience:
Mr. Sullivan has served both as an in-house attorney and in private legal practice. As corporate counsel, Mr. Sullivan has worked for Sears Roebuck and Co., MCI Communications Corporation, and ExxonMobil Corporation. He also was employed with the law firm of LeClair Ryan, A Professional Corporation located in the Corporate Research Center at Virginia Tech. He presently serves as Counsel for the Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc. His practice has included real estate, mergers and acquisitions, financing, trusts & estates, employment, securities, bankruptcy, secured transactions, ERISA, intellectual property, non-profit compliance, telecom, and construction
