Dr. Easterwood currently teaches Intermediate Financial Management. He has taught several courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels.
Dr. Easterwood's research revolves mainly around Commercial Banking and Financial Intermediaries, Corporate Finance, Fixed Income Securities and Investments. He has around 20 articles published in various academic and practitioner journals including top quality journals such as Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Journal of Finance. His research has been well-received and has found significant interest among academics.
Dr. Easterwood has chaired the Faculty Search Committee for several years. He has been a member of various committees related to the Department of Finance. Some of the committees he has been actively involved under are Faculty Search Committee, Awards Committee, Summer Grant Review Committee and Department Head Search Committee. At the college level, he has been a member of the Multicultural Diversity Committee and is currently a member of Scholarships and Awards. Finally, at the university level, he has been a part of various committees and sub committees.
Dr. Easterwood has been an Ad hoc Reviewer for many journals. He has been a discussant for the Financial Management Association for 9 years and for the Southern Finance Association. He is a member of the American Finance Association and the Financial Management Association. Dr. Easterwood has participated in numerous presentations at the Financial Management Association.
