Teaching:
Mr. Hart teaches Investments: Debt, Equity, and Derivatives. Preceding his employment at Nationwide Securities, Inc., Mr. Hart was an instructor in the Finance, Banking and Insurance Department at Appalachian State University from 2001-2004 where he taught Introduction to Finance as well as Survey of Finance.
Business Experience:
Prior to Virginia Tech, Mr. Hart worked as an investment advisor for Nationwide Securities Inc. in Windsor, North Carolina. His primary responsibility was assessing client needs and helping them to understand investment options. From 2000-2001, he was a financial associate for Stanford Keene in Charlotte, North Carolina, an investment bank specializing in the technology industry.
Professional Achievements:
Mr. Hart holds the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) 6 and 63 licenses, along with a North Carolina Life and Health license.
Service-Related Contributions:
Mr. Hart is on the board of directors for the Bertie County YMCA and is past vice president of the board of directors for the Town of Windsor Chamber of Commerce.
