Teaching:
Ambrus' teaching interests are primarily in corporate finance. At Virginia Tech, he currently teaches corporate finance to undergraduate students. Previously, he taught corporate finance to undergraduate and doctoral students at Virginia Tech as well as introductory finance to undergraduate students at the University of Toronto.
Research:
Ambrus' research interests include corporate finance and investments. His current working papers study the effect of investor horizons on corporate policies, the drivers of the value of analysts' recommendations, the origin of investor recognition, and the add and drop decisions of equity research analysts. His published papers study the initial public offerings of listed firms and the extent to which investor sentiment drives equity issuance activity. His research has been published in the Journal of Finance.
