David E. Hogan
Director, Long Island East Complex
David Hogan has been with Merrill Lynch for 33 years and worked in several different capacities and leadership roles. In 1983, David was hired as a trainee for the municipal bond desk. In 1986, David was promoted to Sales Manager for the New York marketing desk for municipal bonds. In 1988, David started the High Net Worth marketing desk that catered specifically to High Net Worth clients. In addition, David took management responsibility for the six municipal regions around the US. In 1991, David became the National Sales Manager for municipal bonds, overseeing the day to day municipal bond business for U.S. Private Client. In 1998, David was promoted to be the Director of Sales and Marketing for Customized Investments which included all sales/marketing responsibilities for the U.S. Private Client equity derivatives business, listed options and convertibles. In February 2000, David joined the Advisory Division and became the District Sales Manager in New York City. He worked in the Manhattan East Complex and the Fifth Avenue Financial Center which is one of the largest branch offices in the Merrill Lynch system. David was the Complex Director in Hampton Roads Virginia 2005-2009 and moved back to New York to lead the Manhattan East Complex in early 2009. In October 2011, David was appointed the Director of the Long Island East Complex which comprises 6 locations including Melville, Jericho, Smithtown, Riverhead, Islip, and Southampton. In addition, David is the Market Integration Executive for The Long Island Market for Bank of America. David grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Virginia Tech in 1983 and holds two executive certificates from the Wharton School.
