MBA, concentrated in finance, Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey (2004) B.S. in Civil Engineering, Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey (2001)

Before joining to the doctoral program in finance at Virginia Tech in 2007, he worked as a structural mechanics engineer and financial analyst in the private sector. He has completed his MBA by writing a master's thesis related to the Istanbul Stock Exchange. His research interests include asset pricing, behavioral finance and derivative securities. He enjoys soccer and swimming.
